Costco Baby!

Jeremiah and I had way too much fun at Costco yesterday...we shopped for Baby P! All it took was walking down one aisle, and we were done for... they were selling a Car Seat, a Baby Carrier, and a Stroller... and Jeremiah went to get an extra basket!

We weren't quite sure how these fancy products worked exactly, so we targeted a family with three kids and figured they'd know what to do... and they did! The father went as far to show us how his own baby daughter fit into the car seat! :) She looked so comffy...how could we resist the purchase? And we were so glad that he showed us how to collapse the baby stroller...we were trying to figure that out ourselves for quite awhile...

So with our wallet completely emptied, the next fun journey began...packing all the stuff (and the food that we bought) into our Prius... in the 102 degree temperature (!). Somehow we managed, but after we closed the trunk, Jeremiah and I looked at each other with one question on our mind: Where will the baby sit in the car? :)

The Nursery Project Begins

My parents visited this weekend and made a HUGE delivery! They brought us our baby's crib :) :) :) and a bed for the guest room so that they can sleep comfortably during their frequent visits to see the baby!

My dad and Jeremiah spent a long while putting the crib together, and upon completion, I think we all felt the reality of our baby's soon arrival... (before we know it!)

Next on the agenda: Costco! Our bed had become rather uncomfortable to sleep on - it caved in big time in the middle...and even though we had it for 3 years, Costco said it was ok to bring it back! Amazing! So, we returned the bed and bought a KING size mattress...Jeremiah said he really wanted his own bed space back because I've surrounded myself with a million pillows each night - I've sort of crowded him out I guess! But not anymore...now we have enough room for the not only the two of us, but a couple of kids too :)

16, almost 17 weeks!

17 weeks on Monday! Baby Podczaszy continues to grow! My mother and I went shopping last week for my first maternity clothes...I don't have to go to work naked now! BabysRUs was a fantastic store, if not a little overwhelming...but more fun I think! ...better start saving so we can afford to buy all the fun stuff they sell for our baby!

We will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or girl on September 14th...just one month away - so excited! Think we have our names chosen too!

Adventures in the Wilderness

Jeremiah and I decided to take a hike on Monday and we were hoping to go to a place called Jordan Peak Lookout. We followed directions from Jer's Iphone up the mountain, curving around bend after bend, turning down strange and narrow unmarked roads..I was driving and Jer was in the back with the dogs...Clara got CAR SICK and lost control of her bladder... (!!!) (thank goodness for leather seats).... Sandy slid all over the back seat...and 3 hours later, we see a sign that says Jordan Peak - 8 miles - and we looked at the roller coaster road in front of us (8 miles on the mountain can take an HOUR!) ...and we turned our car around!

We decided to stop by Camp Nelson (on the way down) and the plan now was to hike one of their trails...but we had to first say hello to our friend Nancy who lives there - and hello turned into another couple of hours :) ... and eventually we decided it was best to head home...so much for the hike!

Well, our Prius did quite well...mountain roads and we still got over 40 miles to the gallon! No hike, but definitely a beautiful day in the wilderness!
