10-20-10-26 - Ellis is 9 months old!

Favorite moments of this week:

Ellie climbed on top of me and literally pushed me over this week when she was ready to go to bed. Basically she's saying: "Mommy, time to nurse & go to sleep!"

2nd moment: One morning, I was cuddled with Ellie in bed before going to teach and Jeremiah came up next to us and cuddled with us on my other side :)

3rd moment: Rolling around on the bed with Ellie while we got ready for night night time. She saw this as a game... didn't really help her get ready for bed, but it was so much fun!

4th moment: Playing peek-a-boo with me using our bedroom door. She was inside our bedroom and kept swinging the door open and closed and I was on the other side (making sure she didn't catch her fingers!) and every time she opened the door and saw me, I'd say "peek-a-boo" and she would smile that huge Ellie smile!

5th moment: Jeremiah has fallen asleep holding Ellie's hands just about every day this past week!

Ellie had her 9 month appointment yesterday (10/26) and weighs 15 pounds, 15 oz! (she was 14 pds, 1 oz at her 6 month appointment). She is 28 inches long. And the best news - her iron is GREAT! So exciting considering she still exclusively nurses (besides a little snack here and there of cheerios, avocado, chicken, rice, etc...)

Last week, my co-worker Ben and his wife Juana joined us at the Porterville pumpkin patch. We decided to go on the hayride so that Ellie could enjoy the experience. Well, we all certainly enjoyed it. But Ellie fell asleep (as seen below) ! But she was the cutest turkey there!

 :) :) :) :) :)
Now that Ellie is so mobile, we found that the footed sleep n plays just weren't working anymore - they were all a bit long, and the feet part would drag behind her actual foot, and she struggled walking and crawling. So we went to Kohls and purchased 3 new ones that are footless - they are 9 month outfits and fit PERFECTLY! Guess if her pants continue to fall off, she's just going to live in these outfits! I love the one with the hood!

Ellie just loves grabbing things from clothes to small toys and dragging them around the house as she crawls around - hilarious!

She loves playing with the waterbottle!

 She's reading Jer's Nook!

Must feel so good on her gums :) (Her toothless gums!)
 Such intensity!
We finally got to put Ellie in her Halloween costume! She's a zebra (incase you can't tell!). We went with a new friend of ours named Yasmin and her daughter Marissa (2 years old) to the Spookfest at one of the elementary schools in town. It was fun dressing up our girls  -  and Ellie seemed happy enough in her costume - she even let me keep the hoodie part on her head!

For the first time, Ellie actually played with another baby. This is 2-year old Marissa. It was AWESOME to watch!
Ellie is learning to get her teeth brushed!
