Ellie is quite a talented speaker... While out at Cerritos Town Center on the 4th of July, she had quite a lot to say - she got so excited that as she stomped her feet around to make her point known, her pants fell off!
While at Islands the day before, Ellie got quite excited over the straw in my water - and she knew exactly what to do with it!
Back to July 4th - we went back to Heritage Park with Nana. It's such an awesome place for kids, I won't be surprised if it becomes one of our favorite hangouts while down here. We got a couple more pictures this time around... the 'June gloom' kept the sunshine away until much later in the day. This allowed the weather to be nice and cool and refreshing. Made us miss the 110 degree weather in Porterville :) (Just kidding...)
We must have spent a good 20 minutes letting Ellie see the ducks. She was mesmerized - I swear she never even blinked! We brought some bread, but she hasn't mastered throwing it to the ducks yet - she wanted it all for herself!
Since the weather was so cool, Ellie's cute 4th of July outfit got covered up a bit - so she looked a little like a circus baby :) My favorite were the pink socks we found at the last minute that we put over her red striped pants to keep them on... quite a fashion statement! (notice they've been cropped out of most of these pictures!)
Yes - we are sitting between two cannons - the park is set up like the Boston Harbor during the time of the American Revolution...
While at our 4th of July BBQ, Ellie decided it was time for her to walk - and walk she did!!! She held my hands, but she took every step all by herself. Back and forth around her Mimi Cindi's house...all night long! We were all kinda amazed...
