6-9-6-11 - Congratulations Jeremiah!!!

My mom and dad came for a visit this weekend and we grabbed a bite at OrangeWorks. The weather was so pretty that we got to sit outside and Ellie had a chance to wear her sunglasses again!
Later on we picked out some pretty flowers to decorate our backyard with and Jeremiah planted them with my dad - at least one of us in the family has a green thumb...
Our cousin Rebecca came over later on in the day and we enjoyed time catching up. (I can't believe I didn't get a picture with her and Ellie!) When we drove her to her mother-in-laws in Exeter  in the evening, my mother enjoyed giving Ellie a bath and dressing her in pajamas and elegant shoes that are a bit too large for her feet! It was quite a site....
Since we'll be spending a month with my mom and dad in Long Beach, they took Ellie's swing home to their house when they left. We are so used to putting Ellie in her swing for naps that we weren't quite sure where to put her when she fell asleep for a nap that evening... but our bed seemed to work just fine :)
Later on in the day, I decided to play with Ellie outdoors while Jeremiah finished his final project for his Master's Degree. Ellie enjoyed playing and "crawling" around in the grass...
 Definitely a happy girl!

Today (6-11) was a very happy day... Jeremiah got a congratulations e-mail from his professor at Cal State Bakersfield. After 4 crazy years (with millions of curve balls sent his way), Jeremiah has completed his Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went out and celebrated at a new restaurant in town - Dickey's BBQ pit - DELICIOUS! Ice cream is free with a meal purchase - and as you can see, Ellie definitely wants the ice cream! (Jeremiah made a J on top of his cone - it's why his doesn't look as full)

So so so so happy for my husband! What a day to be thankful for! Hebrews 12:1 states: "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us" and Hebrews 10:36 states: You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised" - I am so proud to have a husband who is such a good leader and role model for our daughter! What a great way for Ellie to see how trusting God, and how persevering through the work set before him leads to great rewards!
