Jeremiah and I were tired of paying so much money every single week at the gas station to fill up our tank. Our CRV was wonderful to us, but we realized last week that it was time for its 30,000 mile checkup and it also needed new tires. Before spending all that money, we decided that maybe we could actually SAVE some money... so why not buy a new car?! (don't you just love our thinking?)We went to the Toyota dealership on Saturday and wound up trading in our CRV for the Toyota Prius Hybrid - 555 miles on a 10-gallon tank - compared to 320 miles on our CRV's14 gallon tank... we wound up getting a great trade-in value, and we're paying less for the Prius car payments than we were initially paying for the CRV - so we are feeling happy, our gas tank is feeling happy, and our wallet is feeling happy.
We already enjoyed a wonderfully smooth ride to Atascadero this past weekend to visit with our cousins. We had an incredible time enjoying the Paso Robles Fair and watching 10th Avenue North perform a FREE concert for us (incredible group!) - and we just loved being with our cousins! When we arrived back in Porterville, we also loved the fact that we still had 180 miles left in our gas tank! :)
