At 1:30AM on Saturday morning (the 23rd), Jeremiah left for his missions trip to Belize. Before going, however, he spent some quality time with Ellie and taught her The Hokey Pokey as it played on Pandora Radio! (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly!) Ellie was so happy and smiling while her Daddy played with her that I couldn't help but have a photo shoot to capture the memory!
After she danced and danced with Daddy, we lay her on the bed and she looked a bit bewildered :)
Jeremiah also spent some quality time with the dogs before he left! Here he wears his Praying Pelican shirt - the name of the mission group he is going with.
Later on in the day, we had fun at Costco getting Jeremiah some snacks for the trip. Good thing too because I just learned that the team's bus had a tire blow out on their way to their hotel and I have a feeling that the group was pretty stranded for mega hours... at least Jeremiah had some snacks! (I'm writing this on the 23rd) Ellie enjoyed the trip thoroughly... we decided that the car seat didn't fit too well on the top of the gigantic Costco cart, so we put it inside the cart instead!
Thursday night, we went to dinner with our friends Kari and James, and I couldn't resist taking this photo of our two daughters next to each other. Last time they were together, Ellie kept slamming her fist into Teagan's head, so this time, we separated them... :)
And as for me, Jeremiah left me some surprises while he's been away. Before falling asleep last night, I found a wonderful letter from him underneath my pillow, and tonight, I found another note from him underneath my place mat at dinner! I have such a thoughtful husband - he truly understands how much I miss him when he's away - and how much I need to know that I am missed by him as well!
