Couldn't resist this picture! Her smiles make me melt... Here she is looking at her daddy in the morning.... such love!
We started our morning in Palo Alto at a famous restaurant called Hobbes. The manager found out that this was our first time eating there, so she brought us a huge slice of their famous, incredibly tasty blueberry coffeecake! I had fun with this picture because it seemed to work well for this type of restaurant. Ellie was totally relaxed the whole time while we ate our breakfast.
Ellie's appointment went very smoothly - Ellie laid down for over 30 minutes with an antennae on top of her body that read all the information about her pacemaker's history since her last visit. Turns out that her pacemaker has only been used 3% of the time since Ellie left Stanford! Her heart is apparently working in her own rhythm - something the pacemaker specialist said she had never seen before! (We had been told before Ellie's surgery that her 3rd degree heartblock would never get better - it could only stay the same or get worse... So, God has provided us and Ellie with yet another miracle!!!
We stopped at many rest stops during the course of our trip and tried hard to give Ellie lots of cuddles to make up for the hours she spent alone in her car seat looking at the back of the car...
And of course, upon arrival, Nana, PopPop and Mimi were very excited to see their granchild! We had left Stanford at noon and arrived at Nana's house at 9:15PM! Go Ellie! She slept for 6 straight hours that night for the first time ever!
