I feel like Ellie woke up today and suddenly understood how to sit up, and how to use her hands to grab things! I noticed that with support from the Boppy, she is keeping her head up perfectly when pulled to a sitting position, and she's also learning to keep her balance. As for objects, I showed her my watch today while we sat outside on our front patio, and she took it by herself and put nearly the whole thing in her mouth. Thinking this might be dangerous (!), we went inside and found her bunny rattle - and she again picked it up by herself and plopped its ears in her mouth! When placed in her swing later in the evening, she kept herself occupied with that rabbit for 45 minutes (!!!) while Jeremiah and I got some things done around the house! Besides putting it in her mouth, she also enjoyed rubbing it over her eyes.
Interesting dessert - my husband's creation... Strawberries with a crumbled Hershey's Dark Chocolate bar over chocolate peanut butter icecream - Why not? Soooooooooo good!
