10-13 - Hillcrest Pumpkin Patch

While my parents were up this weekend, we decided to take a drive to Hillcrest Pumpkin Patch in Reedly California - about an hour and 15 minutes away from Porterville. It was definitely a unique experience for kids... there was a nature walk, some pumpkins to choose from, a hay ride and a train ride. We quickly learned that the nature walk was not meant for strollers as it involved going over bridges and up and down rock stairs! Ellie's first train ride was pretty fun, though she was ready to get out of laps by the time it was over :) The selection of pumpkins was limited, so we didn't wind up picking any, but we definitely enjoyed our day out experiencing what Central California has to offer...

 The pumpkin man had my same great taste in shoes! :) 

 I think Ellie liked her toys more than the train ride...
